2018 Scholarship Winners

Every year we select 7 outstanding High School seniors to receive $1000 scholarship to help cover their college tuition! We are very proud to announce this year's recipients. 


Andrew Koonce Andrew Koonce

 F.J Reitz High School

Andrew is planning on attending Midway University this fall. His career goals involve finding a job where he can work with animals, preferably in the field of Biology which is what he is planning on majoring in. He was recognized as the Most Valuable Person on the Reitz wrestling team. 

 

 

 


Emilie CrowleyEmilie Crowley

North High School

Emilie is planning on attending Purdue University this fall. Her career goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon. She plans on majoring in Biology / Pre-Medicine. Emilie has been recognized with a Kiwanis Award for Varsity Cross Country and earned a Summa Cum Laude honor.

 

 

 


Arterus YoungArterus Young

Harrison High School

Arterus is planning on attending Ball State University this fall. His career goal is to become a teacher and will be majoring in Music Production & Music Education. Arterus has been recognized as President of his school's chapter of the National Honors Society, Link leader, Drum Major for the Harrison Marching band, and was a team captain for the speech team. 

 

 


Megan CassidyMegan Cassidy

Bosse High School

Megan is planning on attending the University of Southern Indiana this fall. Her career goal is to become a Marketing Director for a major league sports team. She is planning to double major in Sports Marketing and Communications. She was recognized with the Bosse High School Junior Ambassador award and earned a Magna-Cum Laude honor. 

 

 

 


Ke'Daira KingKe'Daira King

North High School

Ke'Daira is planning to attend Ball State University in the fall. She is planning to major in Interior Design and hopes to join a design firm after school while making plans to eventually start one of her own. She has already earned an Associates of General Studies and a Technical Certificate in Business Administration.

 

 

 



Daniel Beaven

Central High School

Daniel is planning on attending Purdue University this fall. He is hoping to major in Biochemistry or Pre-Nursing, with a goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. Daniel has participated in the JROTC program and has earned a Distinguished Cadet Award, US Navy Recruiting Command Award, and a Dedalin Award. Daniel is also a member of the National Honors Society and was recognized as a Star Student by the Evansville Courier and Press.  

 

 


Gwendolyn ThompsonGwendolyn Thompson

Mater Dei High School

Gwendolyn is planning on attending Ball State University this fall. She is planning on majoring in Actuarial Science and hopes to work for the state or federal government as an Actuary after graduation. Gwendolyn has earned a Magna Cum Laude honor and has been recognized as an ISCA All-Academic Player and ISCA Top Team Player. 

 

 

 


We wish our winners well in the upcoming school year and we are excited to be a part of helping them reach their career goals after college. Best of luck to all members of the Class of 2018.
