2019 Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union Scholarship Winners

Every year we select 7 outstanding High School seniors to receive $1000 scholarship to help cover their college tuition! We are very proud to announce this year's recipients.

Jalyn DavisJalyn Davis
North High School

Jalyn is planning on attending the University of Evansville this fall, where she wants to major in Communications and Public Relations. She has placed 1st in the Business Professionals of America Regionals and State! She is also Suma Cum Laude Honor Roll. "I enjoy speaking and working with others, so while I may not be sure of what job I want now, I plan on doing something that connects to the field of Communications and utilizes both those attributes," says Ms. Davis. 

Emily HermannEmily Herrmann
Mater Dei High School

Emily is planning on attending the University of Southern Indiana this fall, where she plans on majoring in nursing with a minor in psychology. She has earned the "Tomorrow's Workforce" Leadership Award and is a member of the National Honor's Society. Her goals include "becoming an RN and later earning a Master's Degree as a Neonatal Nurse Practictioner".

Melanie Wyotvak
FJ Reitz High School

Melanie is planning on attending Ball State University this fall, where she plans on majoring in Theater Creation. During her time at Reitz, Ms. Wytovak was a member of the National Honor's Society. "I want to be the director and owner of my own theatre company in the future," says Ms. Wytovak. 

Kaylie Pruiett
Castle High School

Kaylie is planning on attending Western Kentucky University this fall, where she is planning on majoring in Business Administration. During the summer she works as a lifeguard for the City of Evansville Parks Department. "I would like to pursue a career in marketing and business," says Ms. Pruiett. 

Sally FaharlanderSally Fahrlander
FJ Reitz High School

Sally is planning on attending the University of Southern Indiana this fall where she plans on majoring in Nursing. She is the Vice President of Reitz's National Honor Society and was a member of the Academic All City in 2016 and 2017. "My career goal is to become a nurse practitioner that works in the ER," says Ms. Fahrlander. 

Nicholas HarpenauNicholas Harpenau
Mater Dei High School

Nicholas is palnning on attending Purdue University this fall, where he intends on majoring in Computer Science. He was a member of the National Honor's Society, Academic All-City, and his school's tennis team where he was a team captian. "I plan on getting my Bachelor's degree for my future major and then continue studying to get my Master's Degree," says Mr. Harpenau. 

Jonah KunklerJonah Kunkler
Mater Dei High School

Jonah plans to attend Vincennes University this fall where he is planning on majoring in Precision Machining. He is a member of 4-H and Boy Scouts. "I have always loved to build things and work with tools, and I hope to continue this passion by working as a machinist," says Mr. Kunkler.
