2023 Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union Scholarship Recipients
Every year Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union selects 7 outstanding high school seniors to receive a $1000 scholarship to help cover their college tuition. We are very proud to announce the scholarship recipients from the Class of 2023.
Ahren Block
New Tech Institute
Ahren Block is a graduate of New Tech Institute. This fall he plans on attending Ball State University where he will major in physics and would like to eventually earn his PhD in Nuclear Physics. Ahren is a member of the National Honors Society and has been recognized as an Academic Kiwanis Award Winner, Rising Star of Indiana Award Winner, and Naval Science Award Winner.
Carly Gist
Bosse High School
Carly Gist is a graduate of Bosse High School. This fall she plans on attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale and hasn’t settled on a major just yet but is strongly considering Journalism. Carly is a member of the National Honors Society and was recognized by Youth Resources as a Student of the Year nominee. She has served as Team Captain for the Swim and Soccer teams, and Historian for the International Club.
Hope Kamali
North High School
Hope Kamali is a graduate of North High School. She will be attending Lincoln Memorial University this fall, where she plans to earn her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Health Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Hope has been awarded Gold for Solo and Ensemble and Summa Cum Laude honor roll. She has also served as captain of the JV Volleyball Team.
Marisa Venson
Reitz High School
Marisa Venson is a graduate of Reitz High School. This fall she plans to attend the University of Evansville where she will major in Art. Marisa hopes to one day work as an Art Teacher.
Michael Beaven
Central High School
Michael Beaven is a graduate of Central High School. He plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana this fall where he will major in Biology. Michael is planning to eventually become a Cardiovascular Surgeon. Michael has been awarded the Ira Eaker Award from Civil Air Patrol and was recognized as a Rising Star of Indiana.
Thomas Fox
Central High School
Thomas Fox is a graduate of Central High School. He plans on attending the University of Evansville in the fall where he will major in Physical Therapy. He was recognized as an All-City Academic in football and basketball, and All-State Academic in Football. Thomas served as captain for his football team and most recently was crowned as Homecoming King.
Whitley Price
Reitz High School
Whitley Price is a graduate of Reitz High School. She plans on attending the University of Southern Indiana in the fall, where she plans to major in Actuarial Science. Whitley has been recognized as an All-State Academic.
